Dear Students...

Dear future AP Psychology students, One advice for students taking AP Psych in the future is to make sure you complete your vocabulary and pay attention in class. My Favorite activity/project was the Disorders project. It allowed students to make engaging lessons and teach their classmates about a variety of different topics in all unique ways. I think you should leave out step 2 of the Unit tasks in exchange for something else because its a fun way to learn new things but not a direct and more efficient way like the practice frq. Lastly, I think next year you should allocate time to complete a full practice AP Exam that includes an FRQ. This year the practice exam gave us an estimate on what to expect on the mcq, but left some people without the experience of taking a timed frq under pressure, which would better prepare everyone for the exam to come. Problem solving skills - 53 from a range of 27-58       My approach to problem solving is a little "hit-and-miss."  I understand the importance of a structured problem-solving process but don't always follow it. By improving consistency and committing to the process, I can see significant improvements. Problem-solving skills tests are used in psychology to evaluate an individual's ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems by presenting a scenario and asking for a solution. The validity of these tests depends on the quality of the test items, sample size, reliability, and validity of the scoring procedures. To ensure accuracy, well-validated tests that have undergone rigorous psychometric analysis should be used, considering potential biases and limitations. Test results should be interpreted in the context of the individual's overall abilities and characteristics. Short term memory test- 7 from 12 possible total points      Short-term mem...

 1.  Compliance is changing behavior in response to a request. In this picture, the student sitting down requested the student standing to help them with their homework assignment. This conveys compliance because the student standing is complying or is changing their initial behavior in response to the request to helping with the homework assignment. 2. Obedience is response to direct orders from a authority figure. In this picture, the principal or boss on the right is ordering the teacher sitting on the left to behave around parents and to remain silent. This conveys obedience because she must follow the orders or else she will be fired from her position. 3. Social facilitation is the increased productivity of one's activity because of the presence of other people. In the picture, the student is singing in the middle of gym in front of a lot of students. This illustrates social facilitation because in front of the presence of a gym full of people, her performance increased. ...

NBA MVP RACE The race for the 2022-23 NBA Most Valuable Player title has centered around the impressive performances of Joel Embid, Nikola Jokic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The neuroscience of values and decision-making reveals that human values emerge from the interplay of three large-scale neural systems: sensory-motor, emotion-reward, and knowledge-meaning systems. Phrases commonly used by NBA enthusiasts, such as "the eye test" and "great handle," underscore the importance of sensory-motor aspects of the game. Advertisers leverage the appeal of attractive celebrities to capture our attention and influence our preferences. Meanwhile, scientific experiments suggest that if all three MVP contenders are of comparable worth, the more exposure a viewer has to a particular player, the more likely they are to favor that individual. The emotion-reward system pertains to the various ways in which a complex experience can elicit emotional responses, and the "narrative...

BioHeroes

My birthday is on May 11, which means that my hero's powers relate to reticular formation and norepinephrine; henceforth, my hero given powers of controlling people's alertness and sleep-wake transitions.       Jerry the hero, was born on May 13, 1955, and was born during an emergency C-section. During the C-Section, the baby's heart rate stopped for 3 hours on end, but the doctor's did a experimental procedure that drugged him with insane amounts of norepinephrine. The baby transformed and was then given the powers of controlling other peoples alertness and arousal, but the doctors found out and used a drug to suppress it.       When Jerry turned 21, he was in the ICU after a close to death stroke, which led to his powers emerging. He went to medical school to learn the inner workings of the human body, which became a success. Combined with his super power and medical knowledge, he was able to save countless of people from coma's an...
